Every member of our team knows from the inside what our beneficiaries go through. This is not a posture, it is our starting point.
On 16 August 2020, an accident changed Fiorella's life and led to an amputation. Faced with endless delays, the complexity of the Belgian system and a lack of human support, she had to manage on her own.
This ordeal became the driving force behind Un pas de plus. Rather than endure it, Fiorella turned her journey into expertise, and that expertise into concrete action for others.
Barbara has been a friend of Fiorella for many years. She supported and accompanied her extensively on her journey after the accident. It was only natural that Fiorella asked her to take an active role in the association, which she now holds with commitment as vice-president and secretary.
Najmeddine arrived in Belgium after losing his leg to cancer and started out as a volunteer. His outstanding commitment led to a structured path towards training as a sports coach, through the Article 60 scheme.
Present on every front, Diane is one of the mainstays of the association day to day. A committed volunteer, she supports Fiorella in everyday life: organising events, logistics, coordinating with the other volunteers and welcoming the people we support.
Reliable, available and attentive, she is one of those without whom many projects simply would not happen. Her presence reassures the team and the beneficiaries alike.
Coaches, support workers, logistics: a committed team, present at every event and on every project.
Un pas de plus runs today mainly on volunteer commitment. Every skill contributed turns directly into impact on the ground, no energy is lost to bureaucracy.
Sports coaches, social support workers, communicators, lawyers, logistics people: every form of involvement is welcome.
Even a few hours a month make a real difference. We adapt the commitment to your availability, not the other way around.
Offer my helpWe do not speak about disability from the outside. Fiorella, Najmeddine, Mousa: each of them knows what it is to go through this. That inside knowledge is our most valuable asset.
We do not fund a piece of equipment and stop there. We follow people over time, in every aspect: sporting, social, professional, human.
Our ambition is not to create dependence, but autonomy. Najmeddine is the perfect example: from beneficiary to coach and future employee. This is our model.
Every euro donated is traced to a concrete action. Every project corresponds to a real person. We only promise what we do.
Sport is not an end in itself. It is a vehicle for rebuilding, social connection and self-confidence. It is at the heart of everything we do.
We grow slowly and solidly. Each new project comes only when the previous ones are firmly established. Quality before quantity, always.
Volunteer, partner, donor or future beneficiary, every form of involvement is precious and welcome.
