We don't support "cases", we support people, with their story, their goals and their pace. Every project is unique.
Arrived in Belgium after having his leg amputated due to cancer, Najmeddine joined the association as a volunteer before starting sports coach training through a subsidised employment scheme. Goal achieved: he becomes Un pas de plus's first employee.
Our next challenge? Securing his position long-term from 2027 with a full-time permanent contract. Help us make this happen by making a donation.
These sessions are aimed at people with disabilities who have a minimum level of independence (able to change and get into the water unaided). Organised in small groups of 10 people across several pools in the Brussels region, they help maintain good mobility and build social connection, all supervised by a trained coach.
A fitness programme designed for people with reduced mobility, supervised by a specialised coach. The project is ready to launch: all that's missing is funding for the adapted equipment (benches, weights, accessible machines) to open the first sessions.
We travel to hospitals, rehabilitation centres or people's homes to meet those who have just been amputated. Moments of listening and sharing, led by volunteers who have been through the same ordeal, to talk concretely about the future and show that another active life is possible.
Mousa is an asylum seeker who arrived in Belgium after fleeing a war zone. Severely injured in a bombing in his home country, he is now a double amputee.
We supported him leaving a Fedasil reception centre, provided close follow-up support, and handled all the administrative procedures with the local welfare office (CPAS).
Today, Mousa has adapted housing and financial support. A journey marked by great resilience, which we chose to support holistically, placing the person at the centre of every action.
Almost every month, Un pas de plus organises or takes part in a fundraising event - zumba, races, tournaments. These moments fund our projects and raise awareness of the association. They are also, simply, a chance to come together around sport and solidarity.

Every donation directly funds concrete action - equipment, coaching, support. No middleman, no ambiguity.
