Najmeddine tests his running blade

A hard road, a motivation intact

Final adjustments to the blade

Some moments give meaning to everything else. On 10 November 2025, we met Najmeddine again at Vigo, in Zellik, for his very first trial of a running blade.

Najmeddine came to Belgium to be treated for cancer in his leg. A long and gruelling fight, at the end of which he had to be amputated.

He then did his rehabilitation at Saint-Luc, in Woluwe: weeks of effort to relearn how to move, regain balance and rebuild confidence. A stage that demands motivation every single day, and his never wavers.

Very motivated, Najmeddine did not wait: he tested the blade straight away. A few adjustments, a first push, then the first steps. The photos say better than we can the concentration and joy of that moment.

A first push, then a first step. Every step counts.

Un pas de plus

Once the blade was tested, we talked at length about what comes next. Najmeddine told us he wants to resume training as a sports coach, and we will look together at how to help him in his professional life. Because Un pas de plus is not only about funding equipment, but about helping each person regain independence.

This blade exists thanks to your donations. It lets Najmeddine move, push his limits and look ahead. Thank you to everyone who makes these moments possible.
